I’ve been technical coordinator of the EspritIV project n. 20401 CARICA (Cases Acquisition and Reply In fire Campaigns Ambience). The main objective of CARICA was to evaluate the suitability of case-based reasoning technology introduced in the CHARADE project . The result is a system dedicated to operational firemen centres to support them to record their forest fire interventions, to debrief them and to explore their bases of fire fighting interventions. I’ve written the proposal, and designed and developped the subsystem dedicated to case base browsing, case retrieval, feature selection, clustering and plotting. In IRST I manage a group of three people and the whole team of the CARICA project was about 10 people.
